Yeon Jung hoon has been set to star in Jackie Chan’s new movie entitled ‘Skiptrace’. The movie is based on a story by Jackie Chan and will be directed by director Renny Harlin, who is known for movies like ‘Die Hard 2’, ‘Cliffhanger’ and ‘The Long Kiss Goodnight’. Jackie Chan himself will be starring in this movie alongside Chinese actress Fan Bing Bing and American actor Johnny Knoxville.
‘Skiptrace’ tells a story about a Hong Kong detective (Jackie Chan) who strikes up an unusual partnership with an American gambler (Johnny Knoxville) to take down a crime syndicate that he has been tracking for years. Fan Bing Bing will play for the role as Jackie Chan’s niece while Yeon Jung Hoon will take the role named Willy; the right-arm man of the crime boss.
Yeon Jung Hoon has been preparing himself by analyzing the English script immaculately as a way to adapt into the role he’ll be playing in the movie. According to the representative of Yeon Jung Hoon’s China agent; CNFT, Yeon Jung Hoon received a love call from director Renny Harlin after the director impressed with him just by a video audition that he send only, beating many other Asian competitor actors who also have been eyeing for a role in that movie.
‘Skiptrace’ is set to be shoot in Beijing, Guangxi, Hong Kong and Macau among many other locations until mid December. Yeon Jung Hoon himself has already left Korea for his first shooting for the movie in Beijing on October 9th this morning.
** I consider this as a good news after the bad news that we heard a few weeks ago about his wife’s miscarriage. To be honest, I was torn whether to put unfortunate things such as that as a news here on my blog. I feel so sorry for him and his wife that I had no heart to update anything. I wish to hear more news regarding ‘Sweet Speeding’ and ‘Road King’. But I’m totally okay with his participation in this Hong Kong-Hollywood movie. Though we might have to wait until 2016 for its release! But still.. a happy news indeed!
